Udaipur Science Centre, Udaipur, Rajasthan along with its Innovation Hub, was virtually inaugurated on 13th August, 2026. The centre has been developed by the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), Ministry of Culture, Government of India, under the Scheme for Promotion of Culture of Science (SPoCS).
The Udaipur Science Centre offers a diverse range of galleries and facilities designed to engage visitors of all ages. The major attractions include:
- Thematic Gallery – Sun – A gallery focused on our nearest star, exploring its science, its influence on Earth, and solar technology.
- Temporary Exhibition: Hygiene and Sanitation – A special exhibition highlighting the science and importance of hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Innovation Hub – A dedicated space to foster creativity, tinkering, and innovation among young minds.
- Inflatable Taramandal – A mobile planetarium for conducting astronomy and space science outreach programmes in schools and remote areas.
- Fun Science Gallery – A dedicated interactive gallery for playful and hands-on learning of scientific principles.
- Science Park – An open-air interactive space with hands-on exhibits on various scientific principles.
- Auditorium – A fully-equipped auditorium for science seminars, film screenings, and public events.
- Conference Hall – A facility for meetings, workshops, and expert deliberations.
Udaipur Science Centre is set to become a vibrant hub for science communication and public engagement in the region, inspiring young minds and fostering a scientific temper among the community.
