Solapur Science Centre
 
Sub-Regional Science Centre at Solapur, Maharashtra has been inaugurated on February 14, 2010 by Shri Sushil Kumar Shinde, Minister of Power, Government of India. The Centre houses galleries on Textile and Fun Science, a 3-D theatre, attached with a sprawling 2.5 acre Science Park. The gallery on Textile shows the science and technology of textile production, the evolution of textile technology and its social impact. Fun Science gallery and the Science Park are places where visitors can learn science in an interactive way. The Centre remains closed only during Holi, Diwali and Wednesdays. The Centre has been developed by NCSM and handed over to the Govt of Maharashtra.
