| Ranchi Science Centre is the first Science Centre in the state of Jharkhand with an area of 13 acres of land at the foot of Chirondi Hills. The Centre has built-up area of 4200 sq mtr and housing three permanent galleries and other facilities as follows: |

| The “Resources of Jharkhand” gallery has interactive exhibits, animations, scaled down models, replicas, computer based quizzes, a mock-up coal mine, walk through forest with light and sound animation etc. Spread over an area of 700 sq mtr, this gallery depicts the natural, cultural, industrial, human, economic and geological resources of the state. |

| The gallery “How Things Work” brings to the visitors various machines and equipment that we come across in our everyday life, starting from simple ballpoint pen to the latest cell phone. The gallery has been distributed into various sections like Simple Machines, Tool to Measure, Means of Transport, Communication Marvel, Home Entertainment, Device to Identify, The Investigator and Gift of Innovations. The display is supported with interactive exhibits that use state-of-the-art technologies. |

| The “Fun Science” gallery is full of interactive fun-filled exhibits where the visitors can interact, explore and experience various aspects of science in a highly interesting ambience. |

A lush green Science Park spread over an area of 8 acres houses several interactive outdoor exhibits which help visitors and students to understand various aspects of science and technology in an interactive way.
Other facilities such as Science Demonstration Lectures, Science Experiments, 3D Theatre, Popular Science Lectures, Sky Observation programs, Computer Awareness programs, Science Quizzes, Science Seminars, Teachers’ Training programs, Community Awareness programs, Science Film shows and Creative Ability programs for students during vacations are also available. |
